Never stop trying!
I am quite a confused person in life. After graduating from high school, I couldn't decide what study program to choose. I felt unsure until the very last moment before I had to send out the applications. So I enrolled in university without having a clear idea of what I want to become in life. Yet, those around me kept pressuring me to go to university and get a diploma.
Unfortunately, after graduating from university, I didn't feel happy at all. On the contrary, I felt even more confused. I gained a Bachelor in Multimedia and Computer Design, but the thought of having a job related to my studies made me sick to my stomach.
Since I didn't want to have anything to do with the field of my studies, I turned to my hobby - belly dancing. After that, I started to manage a few dancing studios, and my passion became my full-time job. It's been 2 years since I started this career, and I couldn't feel happier about it.
However, it's not the end of my story.
I had always dreamed of having multiple things to do and earn from. I love dancing, but it was simply not enough. Then, one day I stumbled upon a UI / UX design course, and I felt that it was the right moment to take it. When starting something new, I always feel unsure of myself. However, this time people around me really helped to beat my impostor syndrome. They encouraged me and kept reminding me of my talents. This helped me overcome my fears, finish the course, and start working as a web designer!
Now I have 2 jobs that I love - a belly dancing tutor and a web designer. And I'm currently working on a 3rd one! So I keep dreaming and keep doing.
Don't be afraid to go for your goals! Even if it means changing your career or your life.
